The History of Graston Technique® in Silverdale WA:

It is backed by over twenty years of research, clinical studies, and clinical utilization. The name of the technique comes from the creator, David Graston. Graston himself was a machinist by trade who suffered a knee injury. While frustrated his healing process was taking quite a long time, Graston made a set of instruments to aid in his healing.  When his newly created instruments proved effective, Graston approached the medical and research board at Ball Memorial Hospital and Ball State University. With this, the further refining and development of the Graston Technique® was born. Two new research areas that have come from Graston within the past 2 years have been: Orthotics and Equestrian Modules.
