Scoliosis Care in Silverdale, WA
Gentle care for the stiffness and asymmetric aches that come with a curved spine.
Living well with a curve
Scoliosis, a side-to-side curvature of the spine, ranges from barely-there to significant. Most cases are mild, discovered in adolescence or on an X-ray taken for something else, and never need surgical attention. But even a mild curve changes how load moves through the spine: muscles on one side work harder, joints wear unevenly, and stiffness and aching tend to concentrate where the curve does its bending.
Chiropractic care does not straighten a structural curve, and Dr. Siegel will not pretend otherwise. What careful, gentle care does do is keep the spine mobile, ease the muscular overwork, and manage the discomfort so the curve stays a fact about your body rather than the thing that runs it. For adolescents, periodic monitoring also means a progressing curve gets flagged early for specialist referral.
What scoliosis care looks like here
- A baseline evaluation, with imaging when curve measurement matters
- Gentle adjusting to keep the spine and rib joints moving
- Soft tissue care for the chronically overworked muscles on the convex side
- Home exercise for core support and flexibility
- Honest monitoring, with referral to a specialist when a curve calls for it
