Shoulder Pain Treatment in Silverdale, WA
The body's most mobile joint, and the price it pays for that freedom.
A joint that trades stability for reach
The shoulder can move in nearly any direction, which is why it depends so heavily on soft tissue: the rotator cuff muscles and their tendons hold the joint centered through every reach and lift. That dependence is also its weakness. Overuse frays tendons, disuse stiffens the capsule, and poor posture drags the whole mechanism forward until tendons pinch with every overhead motion.
Shoulders also collect referred trouble. Neck problems send pain over the shoulder blade, and a stiff mid-back forces the shoulder to make up motion it should not have to. An exam that looks at the whole quarter, neck, mid-back, and shoulder, finds problems a joint-only look misses.
How shoulder pain is treated here
- A full assessment of the shoulder, neck, and mid-back
- Graston Technique for rotator cuff tendons and capsular tissue, a signature use of the method
- Cold laser for inflamed tendons, a favorite for shoulders
- Gentle adjusting of the neck and mid-back where they contribute
- Progressive home exercise to restore cuff strength and keep the gains
